What is a vendor scam check?
A vendor scam check analyses a social media handle, website URL, WhatsApp number, or business profile for fraud signals. This includes checking account age, follower patterns, SSL status, domain age, and cross-referencing against known scam indicators.
It is designed for anyone transacting with an unknown seller online — especially on Instagram, WhatsApp, or informal marketplaces.
What is a public footprint analysis?
A public footprint check scans publicly available digital signals for a given name and contact details — social profiles, public emails, phone numbers, and location consistency.
Unlike identity verification, it does not require the subject's consent because it relies only on information already publicly accessible. It is useful as a lightweight first-step check before engaging with a new contractor, vendor, or tenant.
What is a background check?
A background check is a more comprehensive review that may include identity verification, criminal record checks (where supported), address history, and employment or reference signals.
Background checks require explicit informed consent from the subject before any data is accessed. Results are structured and documented for compliance purposes.
What is phone validation?
Phone validation confirms whether a given phone number is real, active, and associated with the expected carrier and country. It returns line type (mobile, landline, VoIP), carrier name, country code, and a validity indicator.
This is useful as a lightweight fraud signal when onboarding new users or verifying contact details.
What does "consent" mean in verification?
Consent means the person being verified has been informed about what data will be collected, how it will be used, and who will have access to the results — and has explicitly agreed before any processing begins.
